Local Input on Development

State housing mandates have shifted planning decisions too far away from local oversight. Developers should not be allowed to privatize the profits and socialize the costs of increased traffic, water demand, and public safety. We need a leader who will fight to give us a voice in our future. Larry Bragman is an attorney with a proven record of empowering the community. He authored our unique Citizens Agenda ordinance—allowing residents to put items directly onto the Town Council agenda—and expanded government transparency by leading the successful effort to televise Marin Water Board meetings.

Housing and Affordability for Fairfax's Future

Larry is focused on creating real housing solutions that help the next generation afford to live here, without losing the qualities that make them want to live here. His creative approach to affordability includes having eliminated water connection fees for new ADUs and co-founding the local Food Pantry. When a 100% affordable senior housing project hit an impasse, his legal research broke the logjam—paving the way for what is now Victory Village.

Revitalizing Our Town

Larry's priorities are core essentials like safe streets, parks & recreation funding, and community connectedness. With two decades of experience in local and regional public governance, Larry brings skills in fiscal and infrastructure stewardship. He successfully secured funding for critical upgrades—such as Fairfax's bike spine—to improve safety for everyone. He carries that same spirit of civic dedication to his role as a 20-year Fairfax Festival leader.

Protecting Our Environment & Democracy

Larry will continue to work, protecting the essential land, air, and water that Fairfax depends on, just as he always has. Throughout his career, Larry has helped achieve major environmental victories: he secured an herbicide-free Mt. Tam watershed, co-authored Marin County's ban on GMO crops, and established the Fairfax Open Space Committee. Our democracy is now threatened and Larry will work to protect our community from the Trump administration's overreach and interference.
